Largest bomb ever

Tsar Bomb was a hydrogen bomb developed by Russia and was tested on 30 October 1961. With a yield of 57megatons, it was the most powerful man made explosion ever. Even though the bomb was tested in a remote island of north Russia, it still caused a great damage. A village 55 km from the test location was completely destroyed. Buildings damaged as far away as Norway and Finland. The mushroom cloud created by the explosion was 46 km high.
Tsar bomb was actually planned to be made twice as powerful as it was. But they decided not to do it because of the risk factors. The testing of a bomb like this can make this damage. It is not difficult to understand that how dangerous it will be if a bomb like this is ever applied in any war..
