Blue whale used to be the loudest animal on earth which can
make sound 188 decibels. Louder than grenade explosion and jet plane take off
sound. But recently scientists discovered
Tiger pistol shrimp which can make
sound up to 218 decibels.
Louder than volcano eruption and gunshot. This is an
ordinary looking small shrimp. They make this sound by hitting their claws each
other and make bubble that collapse. They reach very high temperature for
fraction of a second. The bubble moves 60 miles per hour. They make the sound
to scare their enemies and it can be heard from 500 miles away.
